"A friend shared this recipe with me. It originally came from an Amish Cookbook. I added cayenne pepper and garlic. I would like to share it with you."

  • Cook bacon until crisp then crumble and set aside.
  • Thaw frozen spinach and squeeze out water.
  • Melt butter in large saucepan.
  • Add spinach and garlic and saute 3-5 minutes on medium heat.
  • In saucepan combine all remaining ingredients and heat over low heat for five minutes.
  • Pour over noodles, add bacon and toss gently.

  1. Total delicious, family pleasing noodles! I took your suggestion and added some cayenne and garlic, it was fabulous. I could very easily sit down with a HUGE bowl of these and eat it all by myself all day. I can't wait to make these again, I served them with a pork roast and YUM!

Living in the south we are very lucky to have an abundance of fresh seafood and other ingredients at our disposal when trying new recipes. My husband and I both love to cook and have learned a lot about cooking from our native Louisianian, Paul Prudhomme (we learned to be very careful with his recipes as they are very spicy - even for us), native New Orleanian, Frank Davis and transplanted Emeril Lagasse. It would be very difficult to pick an all time favorite cookbook since I have approximately 200. I enjoy collecting local cookbooks as well as others from different areas. This picture is obviously when DH and I got married. I cooked all the food and even made my wedding cake.
