1. Sooo delicious! I made it with a spicey bbq sauce plus added some canned chipotles for extra spice. It was incredibly easy and the ribs came out so tender. Update** I cooked ribs without the bbq sauce for 6 hours, poured out the liquid and added bbq sauce. Came out much thicker and better!!

 2. Another winner from the Karen Monahan Camp! Wow, these ribs are scrumptious. Oh so easy to throw together-another one of those great "fix and ignore" dishes a busy person loves! Most definitely a "Keeper"! Thanks for sharing. Laudee C.

 3. These ribs were sooooo good, normally I have a problem "digesting" anything pork, but for some reason, these ribs didn't bother my "tummy" at all, and the taste was heavenly, I've made them one of the regulars on my meal planning.

 4. This was great and just as easy as you said. I used boneless country style ribs. We had BBQ sandwichs. This is a easy keeper and will do over and over again. Have a nice day.

 5. MMMMMMMMM! We walked in the house after coming home from church and our 7-yr-old daughter, says, "It smells so good in here!" Then she says, "Mom you're the best cook!" All these compliments before taking a bite! I took the meat off the bone, actually it fell off, and made pork BBQ sandwiches. I only used about half the meat, about 2 lbs...but still the same amount of sauce. (I think if I had used all the meat called for I would probably increase the sauce ingredients so we would have extra!)I was also in a bit of a rush, so I cooked the ribs on high for 4-5 hours and the meat fell off the bone! What a wonderful recipe for an autumn Sunday afternoon and I'll definitely make these again...easy and so delicious! Thanks for such a finger-lickin' good recipe for any day!

Tweaks

 1. I seasoned it with the salt and pepper but added garlic powder. I also added a half green pepper, 2 garlic cloves and almost a whole 7oz can of Herdez Salsa Ranchera.

 2. i throw 2 cans of baked beans in about 45 minutes before they are done

 3. DH and I loved it. Meat turned out tender and fell off the bone. I used beef bones instead of pork and omitted the onions. I never knew slow cooking ribs could turn out so great! Thanks!

 4. I do this often. This is a simple recipe. But you can add flavors and other ingredients. Obviously you were looking for easy...and this is it. Eat well.

I live in Pa (outside of Philadelphia) and cooking, baking, cross-stitching and reading are my hobbies.

I collect cookbooks and cookie stamps/cutters and have a pretty big collection of both. I am also a fan of all things Amish, so I have quite a collection of things picked up in Reading, Lancaster and surrounding areas here in Pennsylvania.

I have 4 kids, who are the loves of my life and cooking for them and my husband keeps me on my toes! ;)

We bought an ice cream parlor in March 04 and it's been quite an experience!

Note: I love getting feedback on my recipes; all I ask is that you actually *make* them before reviewing them.

Also, if you make changes or substitutions, I'd love to see your suggestions and/or comments, but I'd appreciate no rating at all if it's not made as posted. Too many recipe reviews state margarine subbed for butter (if I list butter, it's REAL butter), different spices, low-fat ingredients, whole wheat flour instead of white, etc. The recipes will not work/taste as intended, so it's really not fair to rate them as such.

I'd also really appreciate it if you refrain from rating a recipe if you overcook or overbake it or it you don't refrigerate or store as listed.

I, of course, will adhere to the above when rating recipes, too!

Thanks and have a great day!

My Rating System:

***** A delicious recipe that was thoroughly enjoyed. It has excellent, detailed directions and is perfect as is. If a dish is especially easy, and I'm on the fence, I will give it 5* for ease even if it's very good instead of great. Something I will definitely make again.

**** Excellent recipe but confusing directions that I will make again in my own less confusing way OR Very good recipe that I'll probably make again if I find the time!

*** Good/OK recipe but probably not something I would make again OR Very Good recipe that doesn't have clear, detailed directions.

** Recipe was edible but not really enjoyed and will not be made again. Work involved not a good trade-off for the end result.

* Not edible and probably an error in the recipe. I feel that I pick recipes with ingredients our family likes, so in my opinion, there's an error somewhere. If there's a chance I made the error, I won't rate the recipe. ;)
