  • Using uncooked (store bought) tortillas, cut them out with an egg shaped cookie cutter. You get 3 "eggs" per tortilla. I cut smaller dots from the scraps and stuck them on with water. I used a rick rack design roller I have for fondant on the other.
  • In a non stick frying pan melt the butter over medium heat. Lay one egg shape in the pan and sprinkle with grated cheese. Top with a second agg shape. When cheese has melted flip to cook the other side.
  • Note: If you can't find the uncooked tortillas you can make these with the regular, precooked, kind, but you'll need to stick the dots on with a bit of raw, whisked egg for glue. It will cook when they are on the griddle.

  1. Five stars for the creativity and "fun factor", plus I just love cheese quesadillas. I plan to also make these for other holidays using different cookie cutters. Made for Spring 2013 Pick A Chef.
