  • 1 (18 ounce) box yellow cake mix (I use Duncan Hines)
  • 3 eggs (or as called for by your cake mix)
  • 13 cup oil (or as called for by your cake mix)
  • 1 13 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)
  • 2 granny smith apples
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 (8 ounce) container heavy whipping cream (I think it's 8oz, the standard size in the dairy section)

  • Prepare yellow cake mix according to directions, including greasing your cake pan.
  • Pour into pan.
  • Peel and chop apples.
  • Toss apples in sugar/cinnamon mixture until coated.
  • Drop apples into cake mixture.
  • Pour heavy whipping cream over cake mixture.
  • Bake according to directions on cake mix box.
  • Serve with whipped cream and or ice cream.
