  1. These were good, but a little dry. They go great with hot coffee or tea to dip in, though. I used chopped walnuts instead of pecans. These are great to grab for an easy, healthy breakfast on the go.

  2. Nice flavours but very dry - broke up when turned onto the cooling rack. Now eating warm chunks of it!

  3. These turned out ok - I thought the directions were easy to follow and didn't have any trouble making the bars. The texture was a little off for me - they looked done after about 35 minutes so I checked with a toothpick and it was clean, but I don't think they were quite done. Next time, I would leave them in the oven for the full 45 minutes. Also, I used espresso for the strong coffee and the taste really came though which I liked. I also liked that these were low in calories.

  4. The directions on this were pretty vague. I used about 1/4 cup oil, but I didn't know if the egg was supposed to be beaten or not. It didn't seem like there was enough batter for the amount of chopped apples. I really didn't know what to do with the chopped nuts, so I put them in at Step 5. I think that the batter should be mixed separately from the apples and just poured on top as I found the mixing in the pan didn't work.

  5. These were moist and tasty! I used Splenda. Will make a nice lunchbox snack to take to work. Thanks for posting!

I am a Christian wife and mother of 3 kids. Since my DH's high cholesterol, we've been eating better. I never used to like cooking. Since eating better, I've liked learning and preparing new recipes. My kids haven't reconciled themselves to the new eating yet. I grind my own grain and make all my own breads.?Working 2 hours a day in the local high school lunch room.??I am homeschooling my high schooler.? ?Also found out 1 child has multiple food allergies (wheat, dairy, tomato, chocolate, etc) and another is gluten sensitive. So, we just started (July 09) eating gluten and dairy free. I've been busy with getting our house market ready, even though it's not the best time for that.?
