  1. This tastes a lot better than a recipe so easy should taste! All I added was 1 t minced garlic and 1/2 t thyme. Let the soup simmer, then served it with slices of french bread, and cherry tomato salad. Great supper!!

  2. This was one of the best quick soup I have tasted. It was so quick and easy to prepare. I will be making this quick soup again. Thanks JoAnn

  3. This was so easy to make. I made this for my 3 yr old. He is so picky yet loves any kind of beans. He ate almost all of his soup, my 11 yr doesn't care for soup he cleaned his bowl. My husband ate all of his and never complained I totally forgot he hates bean soup, when he was a kid his dad made him eat a lot of bean soup and he doesn't care for it. Great recipe!

  4. I agree with all that is posted. It is a real good quick meal. I made mine with pinto beans ( I couldn't find white beans), tomatoes and pasta. I would love to try it with white beans next time.

  2. This soup is soooo quick and easy to throw together - very tasty, too! :-) I used chopped ham, instead of the bacon, since I had some ham that I wanted to use up. I am sure that it would also be very good with the bacon. I think that next time I will make some slight changes by adding some finely diced carrots and a few more spices...1/2 tsp salt along with the pepper; some minced garlic, and 1/2-1 tsp mustard powder would be a nice addition. Thanks for sharing -I love bean soup and make an awesome homemade version, with a ham bone, but I have never thought to make a quick, simple version of it by using canned beans. What a great idea! :-)

Love to read. I collect books and have quite a collection but am always adding more. I have also discovered audio books and find that I am able to get through more books by listening to them. Have recently started knitting and I really enjoy it even if it is quite a challenge at times. Always searching for a great recipe in any food category. As might be expected I never find "The One" but find many delicious ones along the way. One of our favorite restaurants is Jensen's Supper Club located in Eagan, MN.
