Easy Beef and Gravy

"I first made this using prepared gravy. The flavor was good but the gravy was way too thin with the liquid that cooked out of the meat. Sometimes I let the meat cook for a couple of hours without adding anything, pour off the liquid then add the gravy mix. I like a really thick gravy with this. I serve it over mashed potatoes or rice. Also very good on buns with peppers and onions."

  • 2 lbs lean stewing beef
  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) package dry beef gravy mix

  • Place meat into crock pot and sprinkle dry gravy mix over it.
  • Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Shred meat with fork.

  1. I added in 1 c. water and 1 onion, sliced. Made a great gravy and flavored the beef beautifully! We had it over creamy mashed potatoes with carrots on the side. I will make again when we feel like something comforting. Thanks for sharing!
