Easy Creamy Chops, Asparagus, and Mushrooms

"I threw this together one night with ingredients I had on hand, and I have made it about 5 times since! It is a great combination of flavors, and so, so easy! I serve this with steamed rice."

directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In medium bowl, combine soup, milk, Worcestershire, pepper, garlic powder, and cheddar.
  • Place enough soup mixture in baking pan to cover bottom (I use square 9x9-inch pan).
  • Place pork chops in baking pan, and add onions, asparagus and mushrooms.
  • Pour remaining soup mixture over top.
  • Bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally (I flip the chops over about halfway through cooking).
  • If top becomes too brown, cover with aluminum foil.

  1. This is de-licious!!! I first browned the chops in very hot oil to give it some color, before throwing them on the baking pan. I also used cream of mushroom soup instead of the celery soup, and half a can of milk. I added cayenne pepper to the mix, and served it with white rice. Thanks for a great, super-easy recipe!

  2. This is really tasty! I think I would prefer cream of mushroom (my favorite - I cook with it constantly), but it's really good and it keeps the pork chops really moist! I think I will try to use a half of a can of milk b/c it was kind of watery. That might be b/c I used skim.

I am a single gal, living on my own; currently working as an Occupational Therapist & living in Cumberland, MD. (It is "God's Country" out here...beautiful!) I LOVE to cook and bake, and love anything that looks, tastes, smells, or even closely resembles a veggie. I LOVE moo-cows, and therefore, cannot bring myself to eat any part of the adorable critters (i.e. NO RED MEAT!!) I love the outdoors, and pride myself on being the master griller on the fire pit. My mother's side of the family is 100% Polish, so I have an inborn passion for cooking...unfortunately, along with that comes a love of eating, too!! But, hey..u only live once, so I say "EAT, DRINK, and BE MERRY!!!"
