I'm a college student and avid lover of food. Some would say I'm a picky eater which seems to contradict the fact that I enjoy crafting dishes and trying to find new ways to combine classic ingredients to come up with original recipes.
I am shamelessly addicted to the Food Network - there is not one show on that network that I do not like. I think Rachel Ray is a darling and a food genius. I am in awe of Gordon Ramsey; I admire his no nonsense style and absolute passion for creating great food. Paula Deen is hysterical and I always know I can turn to her recipes for good down home comfort foods.
I have never really aspired to become a professional chef, but can always pretend to be one in my kitchen. I live in an apartment with an electric stove but I would be overjoyed to be able to cook on a gas range - real chefs use gas!
I am busy with school most of the time, so I crave recipes that are easy and budget-friendly. On the other hand, I like to splurge from time to time on high end steak and wine.
Above all, I enjoy making food and watching those who I made it for enjoy it. I am new to this website, but I look forward to sharing and learning with the "Zaar" community. Bon appetit!
