directions

  • Heat oven to 350°F Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray. In 10-inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in pizza sauce until well mixed.
  • Carefully unroll dough in pie pan so edges extend over sides. Pat dough in bottom and up sides of pan, leaving dough extended over sides. Spoon beef mixture into crust. Top with half of the cheese, the pepperoni and remaining cheese.
  • In small bowl, slightly beat egg and water. Fold extended edges of dough up and over filling; seal all edges. Brush crust with egg mixture.
  • Bake 38 to 48 minutes or until deep golden brown. Cool 15 minutes. Cut pizza into wedges; serve with additional pizza sauce.

  1. I made this lastnight for my family and it was very good! I used sausage instead of the beef, but both would have been great with it. I think next time I will make my own pizza sauce instead of using the ragu brand, but other than that I won't change anything next time! Thanks for sharing!

  2. I made this awhile back, found it on tablespoon.com. It tasted like the pizza they served in grade school. Those big pieces of bread with ground beef. DELICIOUS!!! I used turkey pepperoni, and chopped it up. I also used Colby Jack cheese instead. I didn't brush egg on the crust, and watch the bake time, mine got a little brown, and I only did 38 minutes. I also didn't need any extra sauce to top it with, amazing just the way it was. TRY IT!

I love food and I love to eat and try different recipes. My favorite course is dessert. I love sweets! This leads me to that I did have Gastric Bypass surgery on July 25th 2008. On that note I love baking and cooking a priceless gift passed down from my grammy who I dearly loved and miss deeply. My grammy passed away 1/15/07. She was a wonderful cook and baker and taught me many things and the most valueable things was how to be a wonderful cook and baker like her.
