Directions

  1. Line a deep square or round tin with baking paper.
  2. Bring paper 5 cm above edge of tin.
  3. Pre heat oven to 150 C.
  4. Place fruit and water in pot, bring to boil.
  5. Simmer oncovered for 2 minutes.
  6. Cover and cool to room temperature.
  7. Stir in condensed milk then flour and rum if using.
  8. Add lightly beaten egg and stir thoroughly.
  9. Spoon into prepared tin.
  10. Bake for 2 hours or till cooked when tested.
