  1. I brought mashed potatoes & gravy for our family’s carry-in Thanksgiving dinner. Since I wasn’t the one making the bird, I decided to try this gravy recipe. I follwed the recipe as written, using unsalted butter so that I could control the sodium content & avoid oversalting it. The gravy turned out smooth & tasty, with no lumps. It had very good flavor. When I got to my niece’s house, I added Some juices from the bird as well as some shreds of turkey to the gravy, which heightened the flavor. Everyone raved about this gravy. Best of all, it was fast and simple. I am tucking this recipe into my Thanksgiving food files. Thanks for sharing, Terry!

  5. Sooo easy! My only successful foray into the gravy world so far! (My other attempts were pretty miserable.) Very good flavor, although admittedly high salt content. I only had chicken broth so that's what I used. One reviewer claimed it only tasted like flour and I am just like...baffled as to what kind of mistake they made in cooking it up that they only tasted flour. Like...did they omit the broth?! Ha. Either way, my husband claimed he wasn't hungry...and then had seconds, and thirds, with this gravy.
