  1. This recipe was a trip down memory lane....Did a search for just these ingredients, knowing that this is how my mother used to put together something she make when I was young. Probably 40 plus years ago. The recipe looks exact, except she used ground beef. I had to cook another 15 mintues because it still had liquid in it and the rice needed to cook longer. Next time I will proably cook at 375 degrees. Thanks for sharing!

  2. This casserole has a nice flavor and easy to put together. I turned up the oven to 375 for 20 minutes then back down to 350 when I baked this. The rice did not get cooked all the way. So I'll bake at 375 for the full hour next time and see what happens. The kids called the noodles caterpillars. Thank you for posting. I adopted this chef for the *Spring PAC 2008* game

  3. Very tasty! We loved the flavor. I used ground deer meat, and that was perfect in this dish. It doesn't look really pretty when it's all finished, but the taste totally makes up for it! I think I'll try adding broccoli next time to add a little color. *Added 1/9/08-- We loved the broccoli addition! I used about 1 1/2 cups of frozen broccoli pieces. This time I also used chicken broth instead of water, and reduced the soy sauce to just less than 1/4 cup. Tastes great!!

I am a mommy to three little girls, and I keep very busy with them. Over the past year I have really gotten into cooking. I love to be in the kitchen cooking several things at once and then feed my family and give dinners/baked goods to friends & neighbors. I do not follow recipes closely, I love to play and alter them.
