directions

  • Start browning the sausage in a skillet. After a couple of minutes, add the peppers and garlic.
  • Meanwhile, start cooking the pasta according to the directions on the packet.
  • When the sausage is cooked and the peppers are softened, add the spaghetti sauce, crumble in the chicken stock cube and if preferred, some herbs or italian seasoning.
  • Simmer the sausage mixture for at least 5 minutes, until the pasta is ready.
  • Add the pasta to the sausage mixture in the skillet and stir. Top with the cheese. Continue warming until the cheese has melted (you could use a broiler/ grill to melt the cheese if, like me, you use low fat cheese and it takes a while to melt!).

  1. Great recipe. I need more fast delicious recipes like this one. I used Parm cheese as I did not have mozzarella cheese but it still turned out wonderful. I will definitely make this again.

  2. This was good and easy to make. I used all green peppers becuase that is all I had and added some parm cheese along with the moz. I forgot the bouillon cube. We all enjoyed this.

  4. A really tasty, quick and simple supper solution.I added some minced beef in with the sausage as I didn't quite have enough, and used my favourite homemade pasta sauce. I also used spiralli instead of farfalle, which worked out really well,as the meat got caught up in the little corkscrews. A delicious dish, with the perfect amount of zip from the hot sausage. Thanks for a great meal Shuzbud! made for 1-2-3 Hits.

  5. I used 1 red pepper and 1 small onion, and followed the directions otherwise. This was a simple dish to make and quick to the table, which is good when you have had a really busy day. Using canned sauce it took no time at all to whip up! The sausage and peppers gave it lots of good flavor and I used Italian Seasoning to spice it up to our liking. I am a primary school teacher living in Bristol, England. At the moment I teach Kindergarten, known here as Reception. I really love my job but it doesn't leave much time for hobbies! I enjoy cooking for friends and aim to try new recipes as often as possible! My signature dish has to be White Chocolate Blondies, as it is my most requested sweet treat, and I definitely have a sweet tooth! Update- 5-5-09: Somebody was very thoughtful and gave me the gift of a premium membership. I can honestly say it made me feel so good! If you're out there, THANK YOU so much! I can't quite believe the generosity... <img src="http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a254/Sharon123/Copyoftag300-banner.jpg" border="0" alt="Susie's Banner for Newest Zaar Tag"> <img src="http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj81/HokiesLady65/Recipezaar%20Album/iplaytagin.jpg"> <img src="http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r317/j_welcome/pics2/food/PRMRcopy.jpg"> <img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/tgifford/Game%20Room%20Banners/AM%20Banners/holidaybadge.gif" border="0" alt="Photobucket"X> <img src="http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj81/HokiesLady65/Banners/holidayprmr2.jpg"> <img src="http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j166/ZaarNicksMom/Animation6.gif"> <img src="http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j166/ZaarNicksMom/PACsticker-Adopted.jpg"> <img src="http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/7505/mybanner4a394ee84d5f0.jpg" > <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v726/annacia/Permanent%20Banners/cc-banner-7-09.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Participation.jpg"> <img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Iwasadopted.jpg">
