  1. This was interesting--I think the reason my french toast didn't turn out so well was my choice of bread---lite wheat bread, not thick white Italian bread!! I did really like the addition of the orange juice, and the nutmeg was a nice addition. Thanks for posting!

  2. I followed the recipe just as it was written and it was wonderful. Even my ten-year-old, who doesn't like this kind of thing, was eating it up. Thanks for posting!

  3. I used Recipe #315440 for the bread, and 1/4 cup of All Whites... I should have used just two tablespoons since I halved the recipe! I beat the All Whites in my KitchenAid mixer; it took quite a few minutes for it to get frothy. I never would have thought to beat them so long before making french toast -- they probably would have made a nice fluffy omelet! I squeezed the juice of a clementine into the All Whites, which probably cut down a lot on the citrusy flavor. I cooked the slices on a nonstick pan sprayed with Pam, and they turned out quite nicely. Thanks for posting!

  4. ok... well, I decided to try this recipe since at home my folks were almost BEGGING for french toast, and I'm watching my line. I did it with low fat white bread and passionfruit juice, no cinnamon (we hate cinnamon) and no nutmeg. -.-;; that is something you should NEVER do. it tasted like rubber!!!!! XP I'm rating this 2 only cuz it's low fat and I didn't have the wright ingredients, but I will NEVER do this again

I am a very busy girl with a two year old boy and a crazy full time job! With all that I do not have alot of time to cook, but I love cooking and serving my family homemade food. I love reading cookbooks so this site is a major hit with me. I love getting feedback on my recipes and giving feedback to others. I love being able to post a request and getting all of the help from people everywhere. In the summer I love canning and making my own jellies and jams. I usually end up giving it away as gifts, that always seemed like a more personal gift. What could be better than something homemade?
