“I found this recipe several years ago in a local newspaper. It was submitted by a local lady. I have found this to be the best meatloaf recipe that I have ever tried. I don't like the drier meatloaf. This is nice and moist although not for a dieter.”

Directions

  1. In a large bowl break bread in small cubes. Crumble ground beef and mix with bread.
  2. Chop onion and green pepper into small pieces. Use food processor if you like. Mix together with bread and ground beef.
  3. In a bowl or tall glass put milk and add egg and beat together. Pour into bowl with other ingredients and mix all together very well. Mixture should be very moist.
  4. Season mixture with salt, pepper and garlic powder to your taste.
  5. Pack this into a meat loaf pan.
  6. Heat oven to 350 degrees and put meatloaf in to cook.
  7. Cook for 1 hours.
  8. In the meantime while the loaf is cooking, mix catsup, bbq sauce, worcestershire, tabasco, dill pickle juice, brown sugar and soy sauce together and use salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste. Set aside.
  9. At the end of 1 hours take the meatloaf out of the oven and drain juice out of it and discard.
  10. Pour your sauce mixture over the meatloaf and return to the oven and cook for 1/2 hr longer.
  11. Remove from oven and cool for 15 minutes. Slice, serve. Enjoy.
