ingredients
- 1⁄2 lb ground buffalo meat
- 1⁄2 lb organic ground beef
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 1 (6 ounce) can of sliced black olives
- 1 (12 ounce) can chili con carne (with or without beans)
- 1 (6 ounce) bag of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (9 ounce) bag Frito corn chips
directions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Saute chopped onions slightly.
- Add ground beef and bison and saute with chopped onions.
- Drain any excess fat after meat is cooked.
- Crush Frito chips and layer onto a casserole dish.
- You will add layers of meat, tomato sauce, chili con carne, sliced olives, cheese, then repeat layers starting with crushed fritos. You only need to make 2 layers of total ingredients.
- Top the layer with cheese and crushed fritos.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
