Easy Peanut Butter Bars

"Great recipe, everyone always loves these bars and are always amazed at how easy they are. Can use a food processor for the graham cracker crumbs or crush them in a bag for cunchier bars."

I am the mother of 2 beautiful boys and my husband and I are hoping to add another one to our family soon! I am an Elementary Teacher but am just subbing right now, I want to spend as much time with my little ones as I can, they grow up too fast! My husband teaches High School EBD which is very tough and trying at times. He also coaches Junior High Football and Basketball. He is crazy about football and from the beginning of August until the end of October that is all I hear about! We enjoy the outdoors and LOVE having our summers off. We both went into teaching knowing that we wouldn't get rich doing it but knowing that it was the life style we wanted. We love being able to have vacation time along with our children and enjoy the 3 months off during summer, which always goes by way too fast! We live in Northeastern Wisconsin in a very small town. My in-laws own a farm and we plan to take that over in the distant future. My husband loves the farm life and says it is like being on vacation forever! I always think of it as being at work forever! My parents own a restaurant and that is where the 'being at work forever' idea comes from. They are truly never away from work and have finally realized that they deserve to have off-time like most people do. They are putting their business up for sale this summer and I hope they will finally get some time off after nearly 12 years of nonstop work! My mother is an awsome cook and she is my inspiration in the kitchen. She is the kind of cook who just puts in some of this and has a little of that to use up and pretty soon she has a fabulous dinner. I need recipes and structure because my biggest mess-ups happen when I try to do it her way! Maybe over time I will get that good! She doesn't have the patience for following recipes and measuring so her baking is not great. When I think about it my dad was always the baker in the family. He has the patience to follow recipes and use exact measurements. My husband will eat just about anything so my biggest critics are my boys, one of which is just like his father and will eat anything! My 6 year old is the picky one, so I always have to think about what he will like! I have him help me cook and pick recipes so that he feels like it is his food and therefore he will eat it. We turn to recipezaar often for inspiration for our dinner!
