  1. Love this icing! It's so much easier than the one I've used for years and tastes just as good! I used a 20 oz. can of crushed pineapple with 2 cups of sugar and 6 tablespoons of cornstarch to frost my three layer cake. Also added a teaspoon of vanilla and 2 tablespoons of butter. After frosting I placed a few cherry halves on top! Made this for my Bible Study everyone loved it!

  2. versatile, great and easy---I added a cup of coconut and some rum flavoring--got rave reviews.

I'm a young kid, 21, and I joined this site to learn more about cooking! Three years or so ago I made the decision to go vegetarian, and so I'm learning to cook without meat! It IS a challenge, but I want to learn to be a good (eventual) wife and (maybe) mom. My mom was a single mom, and didn't have much time to cook, so it's something I want to learn more about. I value homecooked meals and I love to make them when it turns out well. I like taking care of people, and food is definitely one way to warm people's hearts I think. Conversations had and problems resolved over delicious food with a lot of heart DOES make a difference.
