I made a pizza the other night for the BSU game and used this recipe for the sauce. I have used it many times (because cutting it in half is just right for DH and I) but I noticed I never wrote a review. I did add a little sugar to tone down the tomatoe and with the spices listed I added some Italian seasoning and more fresh garlic. Like another review I did remove about 1 tablespoon of water and replaced with olive oil for a richer sauce. DELICIOUS...definately a 10 star.

This was just *ok*. I began by making the sauce as per the recipe, but ended up having to add salt, sugar, and olive oil in order to make it taste like pizza sauce. It may just be me, but I think all tomato sauces require some salt. It's because I had to adjust it that I rated it so low. It was easy, but it didn't taste like pizza sauce (or spaghetti sauce- that's for David the "chef" lol). Thanks for the recipe though.

I'm retired since August 2007 after 20 years from a library in central Wisconsin. I guess you could say my hobby is cooking. My husband has even gained weight since I am home more.

I love trying new recipes and just started smoking food in my new smoker. So far I have only made salmon and turkey. Both turned out good.
We have two grown children and two granddaughters.

We also love camping and try to go often. My husband loves fishing and hunting so we have alot of fish and venison and the freezer.

I love Zaar and visit the site almost every day. I really love it when I get a good review on one of my recipes. I just wish members would alow zaar mail fo I could thank them for the review.
