  1. I had some leftover pasta noodles last night and threw this sauce together. It tasted wonderful and only took me 5 min of work. I am usually pretty fussy on my sauce and dont care for canned sauces at all. This will be a new favorite for days when I dont want to spend all day making my normal sauce. I put the basil in with the tomatoes while boiling. I didnt read the recipe correctly but it turned out great.

  2. This is a great recipe - quick and delicious. After bringing it to a boil, I added the meatballs which I made using the Easy Spaghetti and Meatballs recipe by Charmie777 and then simmered it for about 30 minutes. Yummy!

  3. This has become a family favorite. It goes together very easily, and has a light, fresh taste that we really enjoy. It is also the only marinara I've ever had that doesn't give me killer heartburn! I saute the onions with the garlic, I like that flavor better.

  4. Great, easy recipe! I didn't have onion, but otherwise followed the recipe and it was very tasty with angel hair pasta. I would suggest reserving some of the tomato juice to make a thicker sauce; mine never thickened much in the simmering.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
