  1. I've had this recipe tucked away under my Main's cookbook for some time now and while looking for something different to do w/my hamburg came upon your recipe. I have a good meatloaf recipe posted as well, but this one is simpler and just as tasty. A great use of stove-top stuffing mix and great flavor to boot. I used SweetBabyRay's BBQ sauce in place of ketchup. Thanks~

  2. Our family loves this meatloaf. I add a diced onion and a handful of grated cheese (about a cup) to this recipe. And I use milk instead of water. I also use 1/3 cup ketchup, 1/3 cup brown sugar and a teaspoon of mustard mixed together for the top.

  3. next time ill cook mine with no cover over it the entire time . mine was super moist everywhere and to be honest i think could have used a little bark on the outter edges ... i added water and cream of mushroom soup and a can of beef broth. Then made garlic mashed potatoes and an amazing brown gravy with drippings from ribeye cooked in . came out amazing , made 3 of them and left one with no topping , one with a marinara sauce and one with a spicy BBQ . The next day i took dinner rolls and toasted them and made mashed potatoes and meat loaf sliders with brown gravy on top , Everyone LOVED them .

  4. Made this exactly to recipe, other than I substituted barbeque sauce for the ketchup. I then glazed the outside of the loaf with ketchup to seal in the juices. Baked the hour recommended at 350 degrees, and it turned out very moist, juicy and PERFECT! Hubby-approved! He said, "Hmmm...this is VERY TASTY! You can make this again!" My meatloaf usually falls apart when you cut it, but this stayed together and sliced very well. Will make again! Can't wait to have leftover COLD meatloaf sandwiches from it tomorrow... IF there is any leftover! Husband has gone back for thirds!!! Thanks for the recipe!

  5. This is a very easy recipe to make with very little effort. I used milk instead of the water. I think next time I'll add some sauted onions into the mixture. I'll be making this again when I'm pressed for time. Made for *My 3 Chefs 2009* game my theme was *Meatloaf*

Tweaks

  1. Instead of water, i use worstershire sauce and mix with the stuffing. Let it stand for a few minutes then add other ingredients

  2. Hi, I Made this per instructions but used pre made spagetti sauce (prego with sausage and garlic) instead of ketchsup . And top with grated cheese after baking.

  3. I mix in cream of mushroom soup (instead of water) & dry onion soup mix. I top with a mixture of bbq, Worcestershire sauce & ketchup. Yummy Pics to follow

  4. When I make this I use 2 lbs beef and I substitute Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue sauce for the ketchup. I think the cornbread stuffing mix tastes best. This meatloaf is beyond amazing and makes the best sandwiches ever.

  5. Instead of water, I added salsa. It made for a moist but not wet loaf and added flavor as well. I also added extra onion and garlic because we are a garlic and onion loving family! I've cooked it in loaf pans in the oven and also in my crock pot. Turns out great either way!
