Easy Stovetop Mac and Cheese

- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 1 cup milk (I use 2%)
- 8 ounces of short cut pasta (ex. elbows, shells)
- 8 ounces American cheese, cut up (processed or deli cheese, your choice)
- 8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
directions
- in a medium saucepan or pot, place water and milk, over medium heat. (Do not allow to boil, or you will have a mess!).
- when water and milk come to a simmer, add macaroni or pasta of your choice. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, or until al dente. DO NOT DRAIN -- this becomes your sauce.
- lower heat to low, and add your cheeses, stir til melted.
- add pepper to taste. Enjoy this really cheeeesy mac and cheese!
