Directions

  1. Saute onions and butter.
  2. Blend together all other dry ingredients and add to onions.
  3. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in 1 quart of tomato juice.
  4. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute.
  5. Put in large bowl 3 cups cold milk.
  6. Stir mixture into cold milk otherwise it will curtle.
  7. Return to pan and heat almost til boiling.
  8. Serve hot.
