  1. Great crockpot recipe, great flavor and very easy to do. The only thing I did different was to use ground beef instead of the ground turkey. This dish tasted just like traditional cabbage rolls without all the work.

  2. I made this yesterday in the crockpot for supper. While not reading any reviews before preparing this dish; I too, added one small finely chopped onion as well as one tsp. minced galic to the ground beef while browning, (and seasoning all with some Lawry's seasoning salt and pepper). I only used 1/2 cup of uncooked long grain white rice to the cooked hamburger/tomato soup mixture. I did not add the other 1/2 cup of rice to the shredded cabbage mixture. I layered the shredded cabbage and spaghetti sauce (4 times ) beginning with the cabbage, and ending with the sauce. Afterwards, my husband and I spiced it up a bit with adding some tabasco sauce. The next time I decided to prepare this recipe, I too thought I'd add some crushed red pepper flakes (when browning the hamburger). By not adding the other 1/2 cup of rice, you have plenty of sauce for the entire meal.

  3. We loved this recipe! I am not a very experienced crock pot user, but had to haul out my 23 year old machine to try this recipe and I was not disappointed. I went by faith on this recipe and followed the instructions exactly. However, since I can't help but alter a recipe to suit myself, I added some diced onions and garlic when sauteeing the turkey, and tossing in some red pepper flakes for a little heat. I rarely use canned soups and didn'thave any in my pantry, so I used a large jar of spaghetti sauce and a 1/4 cup of water to make sure the rice had enough liquid, and it turned out perfectly. I know I will be taking my crockpot out of retirement and making this recipe again. Applause, applause!

  4. This had a very intense tomato flavour and was as my husband refers to things, gluggy. I had to add more liquid to break up the intense tomato flavour make it less gluggy. I think it could have used more cabbage and meat as the rice was pretty predominate in the dish as well. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Really easy! Really good! I did add 1/2 of an onion, chopped-sauteed with the ground turkey. I brought the leftovers to work & was enjoyed by all that tried it. This is a keeper-perfect for potlucks too.
