I am very disapointed with this recipe!!! I've been looking for an eggnog cheesecake since after Thanksgiving and this is all I found. The recipe calls for 2 packages of bakers german chocolate, but doesn't state when /where /how it's used. THEN It mentions cookies. WHAT KIND??? I admit I know very liitle about baking, but I am trying. Every other recipe I took off of this site was very easy and tasty. I wouldn't know about this one.

My family loves this cheesecake, and we do not like eggnogg. I have submitted the necessisary changes from the original person who submited the firt recipe. You do not need bakers chocolate, you need 2 packages of Chocolate laced pirouette cookies. Also I always use Reddi-Wip topping to decorate around the outer top. But only just before serving because it will melt and becomes mushy. I suppose if you want a truer cheesecake you could make a traditional cheesecake for a bottom layer and then do a half batch of this for a top layer. Then it would be less like a pudding.

I loved this recipe! It took only minutes to prepare and my children (all under 12 yrs) also made one with NO difficulty. It was a success at the party. If you have trouble finding the chocolate for the crust, or are in a hurry, simply use the premade chocolate grahm cracker crusts...they work just as well. Thanks again!
