I love this stuff! I was looking for a recipe to use up some extra ham and on a whim I decided to look up what we call eggs Ala Goldenrod - to my absolute amazement, it's here! And it sound exactly like my recipe that I got from mother. We grew up eating this and I always wondered where the name came from. I thought perhaps my mom made up the name, but I guess not!
Anyway, try this recipe, it is totally addicting! I make it with butter instead of bacon grease and instead of sprinkling the yolks on top, we add it at the same time as the whites.
And I'll let you in on a confession, this is one of the very few dinners that I STILL lick my plate when no one is watching!!
YUM, and thank you Chef Scott K!
