  • Shell the eggs.
  • Mix soy sauce, water, sugar, star anise and sherry in a sauce pan; bring to a boil.
  • Add eggs, bring to boil again.
  • Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  • Remove eggs from sauce.
  • Cool for 1 hour.
  • Cut eggs into quarters.
  • Serve cold.
