Elaine's Caramel Snack Mix

- 3⁄4 cup butter
- 1 1⁄2 cups brown sugar
- 1⁄3 cup Karo syrup
- 12 cups Chex cereal
- 8 ounces small pretzels
- 1 (12 ounce) bag M&M's
- 1 (18 1/4 ounce) can deluxe mixed nuts
directions
- Place cereal and pretzels in microwave safe bowl.
- Combine butter, brown sugar and karo in sauce pan and boil for 2 minutes. Pour over cereal mixture.
- Microwave for 4 minutes, stirring every 1 1/2 minutes. Add M&M's and microwave for 1 minute longer.
- Pour onto grease waxed paper and let cool.
