Ellen's Easy Napa Salad

"This recipe has been handed down through my whole family, my mother-in-law gave it to me, she got it from her sister, who got it from another sister and so on. The last time i served it for my sister-in-laws family reunion and got raves. I had to pass it along to her family too. Everyone went back for bowl after bowl."

  1. I've made this recipe for years, although I also add a can of mandarin oranges (drained). Everyone always devours this salad!

  2. by adding chicken fingers or grilled chicken (cut bite size) makes this a wonderful one dish meal-definitely my husband's favorite - when I'm not sure what to have for dinner...I can never go wrong with this...excellent!!!!!

  3. This is very good, and very easy. Out here on the east coast, at least up here in the boonies, we only have red or green cabbage, so I don't know if that makes a huge difference, but the recipe itself is phenominal! I will be making this throughout the summer as it's a light and yummy dish. Keeps the weight off! Thank you for sharing this with us! LA :-)

  4. This is one of those dishes that once you eat one bowl you always have to go back for a second...so be careful!!!!! It was the best side dish at the party.
