- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons taco sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 10 flour tortillas
directions
- Brown beef and onion together; drain meat mixture.
- Add half of the chilies, cream of mushroom soup, milk and taco sauce to meat mixture. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Quarter tortilla shells and line the bottom and sides of a 9 x 9 baking dish with tortillas.
- Place half of meat mixture on tortilla shells; cover with 1 cup cheese.
- Place remaining tortilla shells on top of mixture; put rest of meat mixture on top of shells and cover with cheese again.
- Either bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes OR microwave for 10 minutes. (Baking tastes better, but microwave is definitely easier.).
- Serve by itself or with tortilla chips to scoop up the yummy mixture! Remaining chilies can be placed on top after baking for more flavor!
