"Salty and sweet.....creamy and crunchy! I used store bought red pepper jelly. Would probably be great with homemade jelly."

  1. I LOVED this! The sweet/salty/spicy all works so well together. I didn't have red pepper jelly so I used grape jelly that I mixed with some dried jalapenos. Worked great, but I know the red pepper jelly would have been awesome :)

  2. This is a really great combination! I love the appetizer that is red pepper jelly and cream cheese I thought adding bacon to it would be great as well, and it was! I love that salty-sweet-spicy combination. I didn't have the pepper jelly on had, but had some raspberry pepper jelly and tried that. Same kick, different jelly. I microwaved my bacon to make it less messy for preparation. I will definitely repeat this...maybe even try it on company!

I love to cook with friends. Grilling out by the pool is one of our favorite pastimes. One of my passions is surfing for new recipes. I love to travel. If had a carefree free month off I would propably start my travels by driving up the east and west coasts visiting winerys and looking for great local restaurants. My pet peeves are people that talk with food in their mouths, or eat while talking on the phone and double dipping breadsticks or chips.
