- Serve with a glass of chocolate milk, or if you want to have a really authentic breakfast, pour the chocolate milk into a bowl and dunk the bread and jam before savouring each bite!

C'est magnifique!!!
France and Spain are a long way away from me these days..no more hopping across the Channel whenever we feel like it...so this was a real trip down memory lane for me...and one that I, and the children thoroughly enjoyed, and savoured.
Fantastic start to our day-thanks Shuzbud.
Made for THINK PINK-OCT '11

What's not to love?? This is simple, quick, delicious, and definately a kid pleaser! I wanted to serve it warm so I tried to buy a par-baked baguette, but was unable to get one. Instead, I bought a pack of par-baked dinner rolls, and they were perfect (I told the kids they were mini-baguettes! Lol). Made for ZWT7-Switzerland. (Vivacious Violets)

I had this for breakfast nearly every morning when I was visiting a farm near Lyon in the middle of France. The milk came straight from the goats and went into big wide mug/bowls where we added the chocolate to taste. The bread was delivered fresh every day and kept in a tall bread box on the floor. Dipping the bread was definitely the way to go. Thanks for posting this "recipe". It brought back such great memories for me.

I am a primary school teacher living in Bristol, England. At the moment I teach Kindergarten, known here as Reception. I really love my job but it doesn't leave much time for hobbies!
I enjoy cooking for friends and aim to try new recipes as often as possible! My signature dish has to be White Chocolate Blondies, as it is my most requested sweet treat, and I definitely have a sweet tooth!
Update- 5-5-09: Somebody was very thoughtful and gave me the gift of a premium membership. I can honestly say it made me feel so good! If you're out there, THANK YOU so much! I can't quite believe the generosity...
