Directions

  1. Melt butter or margarine in a large saucepan, stir in syrup, brown sugar and carob powder.
  2. Bring to the boil for 3 minutes, then remove from stove and add the vanilla essence.
  3. Place the puffed rice in a large greased swiss roll pan (10x12inch). Pour mixture over the cereal and mix well. Spread smooth and pat firm.
  4. Chill until firm.
