1. Hello everyone! Is it okay to eat butter STRAIT??? Because I watched a video and ummmmmmm... it said to take soft bread, but some butter, and then sprinkle the rainbow sprinkle on it.

 1. My very favorite party food, I still make it and I'm 24. To be the most truly delcious fairy bread it *has* to be made with real butter and very fresh white bread. It looks pretty, kids love it, I love it - you should try it. Good one Martha, I had no idea that this wasn't a party staple world wide. If you want these a bit fancier cut the bread out with cookie cutters after you butter it.

 2. This is a darling recipe! My young daughter had great fun preparing this. It is very pretty and is an easy kid pleaser. I used butter and would also try cream cheese for variety. I like that this provides a kid that candy shop eye appeal, but without all the sugar of a cupcake or a donut.

 3. Butter is made with cream..so
I'm thinking
- Whipped cream and brioche instead of butter and bread with a dusting of icing sugar. Yum!

 4. it looks good i am going to have to try that

 1. My mother used to make a version of this when I was a child many years ago. Only instead of sprinkles, she used regular sugar and sometimes added a little cinnamon.... this brought back so many memories. She called it "Sugar Bread"...

(As many of you know Silent Cricket passed away on Feb. 29. Since she loved Recipezaar so much and so many on Recipezaar have shown their love for her, and have enjoyed her recipes, her personal information will remain here indefinitely just as she wrote it. Her lines at the end of this section sound somewhat prophetic as the last chapter of her earthly existence has been written.) Well, the time has come for me to change my users' name. After being, "OzCoMartha" because of having lived for three years in Australia and then moving to Colorado, I have decided to "turn over a new leaf." I chose this name because many moons ago I used to be able to "chirp" like a cricket and the "silent" refers to the present time when I'm taking a break...But, perhaps after a season, however long I decide that needs to be, I may be back and then I will fill in more details about myself...
