  1. Grease a pyrex, 12x9.
  2. Layer potatoes. Sprinkle with flour.
  3. Lightly salt and pepper and thyme.
  4. Sprinkle gruyere cheese.
  5. Repeat until you have 4 layers.
  6. Pour in chicken broth half way up the layers.
  7. Bake at 375 for 1 1/2 hours.
  8. Rest for 10-15 minutes.
  9. Fall Down and Scream. These are that good.
