  1. Braunda, Wow,these were a lot like unsloppy, sloppy Joes. Sooooo easy to fix,and my grandkids loved helping, and eating them. Thanks,Darlene Summers

  2. My daughter is taking over my kitchen. :) She and I made these together and had a fun time doing it. Threw in a little chopped onion and garlic to the ground beef, but otherwise stayed true to the recipe. They made cute little barbecued meat cups. Wonderful kid food and a lot of fun to make. Thanks Braunda.

  3. I had this in my stack of recipes and checked Zaar to see if it was here, and what the reviews said. Mine called for 3 tbs. of brown sugar, but other than that, it was the same. I thought this was OK, but I'm not sure how I'd like it without the brown sugar, so I won't rate it.

  4. A friend sent me a similar recipe. She suggested using bottled BBQ or sloppy joe sauce, but I prefer freshly made. She recommended using Grand's Buttermilk biscuits, saying to peel them apart into 2 pieces, then flatten those out, and that's what I did. Those come in a pkg of 8, your recipe says 10, so maybe using smaller biscuits would have been a better idea. Personally, I thought it a lot of work for the end result. It was good, my teen son enjoyed it, but it's not something I'm excited to make again without some adjustments. I think I'd like to figure out how to roll them into the jumbo muffin size, then mix in some mixed veggies or something. I probably would need to double the sauce at that point, but it would be a little healthier and more robust with not quite so much biscuit. Some other filling suggestions instead of the ground beef: * Use spaghetti sauce instead of BBQ, then add some ricotta and top with mozzarella cheese. * Mix beef with cream of mushroom soup and mixed veggies. * Use pizza sauce and mozzarella instead of BBQ and cheddar. * Use taco meat and taco toppings, especially if using the cornbread biscuits.

  5. My husband loves these. There is a similar recipe from Taste of Home also calls for 3 T. brown sugar. I use the 10 oz. tube of buttermilk biscuits. Thanks for posting!!

I do not think I have a pet peeve. I think people are different for reasons that are not known to us. We just have to get along. I always look for the good in people and not the things I do not like.
