  • Put lettuce into a mixing bowl and add all ingredients except the oil and bread.
  • Toss well.
  • Cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
  • The oil and bread are added and mixed in just before serving to prevent wilting of the lettuce and softening of the bread.

  1. so so good. i added some feta just to add some protein. the whole family loved it. the next night i was out of tomatoes and substituted with red peppers. just as yummy. thank you!
     
  2. My husband's family is lebanese, and when I made it whith the amount of salt you suggested, it lacked flavour. It really needs alot of salt to really bring out the taste, other than the salt, perfect!
