These are really lovely biscuits (cookies). For me the dates really mingled into the dough and keep the biscuit lovely and moist and the walnuts gave them a really nice flavour. Because I have young kids I always roll my biscuits small and got 48 out of the mix. Cooked for just on 10 minutes in a 180c oven. Thanks for sharing your recipe it's now a favourite here too :)

I just made these. Date and walnut chews. Turned out great and yummy too! I added some dried cranberries also ?? Nice and chewy and browned nicely. I doubled the quantity and it made 65 biscuits. I cooked them for 16 min at 180 degrees. Sadly I can’t seem to download my photo. I ll definitely make them again. Very easy.

I live in Western Australia, by the beach. I have four children and I cook.
I am excited about the spring and the ensuing summer. So many fruits and vegetables. Beaching and fresh fish.
Endless afternoons and so many excuses to eat good food.
