My friend gave me this recipe years ago and I have been making sprouts this way ever since. The addition of nutmeg is excellent!! If I am having guests, I cook the sprouts until just tender, drain, (put them in ice water to preserve the bright green colour) and store them in the fridge until needed. When ready to serve I finish the cooking. Brown butter carefully, it will burn quickly!! A nice easy recipe.
