- 1 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup chopped raisins
directions
- Mix dry ingredients except sugar. Mix butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Stir in dry ingredients. Add oats and raisins.
- Divide dough into 4 parts. Shape each into a roll about 6 inches long and 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper. Freeze.
- To bake, slice about 1/4 inches thick. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake about 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 7 dozen cookies.
