directions

  • in a plate or bowl, mix the egg, milk, 2 pinches of nutmeg and 2 pinches of sugar.
  • in a frying pan, melt the butter and sprinkle some sugar on top of it.
  • cut the loaf in peices, and dip them in the mixture until soaked.
  • fry the pieces of bread until golden brown.

  1. Quick and easy. Very tasty. The sugar and the nutmeg gave it a great flavor. The sugar in the skillet gave the french toast a crisp to it. Almost like an outer shell covering. We very much enjoyed this for breakfast this am. Thanks for posting.
