Fresh Apple Cake

"This is even better if you use more than one variety of apple! Also great served warm with a caramel sauce and/or ice cream."

  1. I really liked the flavor of the cinnamon and apples, and it was especially good warm out of the oven. If I had the ice cream and caramel sauce I would have been in big trouble :). I only used about 1/2 cup of chopped nuts, just because of personal preference. I did spray the baking pan with cooking spray before pouring in batter and I think I would skip that next time. The day after the bottom of the cake was really moist. I did only have to bake for about 45 to 50 minutes before a tester came out clean, maybe if I had also let it go the entire hour I wouldn't have the bottom issue. Nevertheless, I've been snacking on it almost every time I walk by.

  2. I used the suggestion to serve w/ caramel sauce and icecream...yummmo! Kids and husband both loved it, and had to make it for a gal at my husbands work who was craving apple cake too. Will make whenever I have fresh apples!!!!

  3. I followed this recipe exactly so i don't know what went wrong. But it tasted burnt, runny. Had a texture that i really didn't care for. Looked anything but good. After about 15 minutes in the oven it started to burn. Not sure what the problem was, but we didn't care for it.:(
