  1. I received 2 bunches of flowers recently. One bunch of carnations for Valentine's Day the second bunch were tropical flowers for my birthday. The carnations look like I just bought them yesterday and my Birds of Paridise are still looking beautiful! My guilty pleasure is having cut flowers in my house, so I will definately be doing this solution again! Thanks for the recipe!

  2. My DH bought me 1/2 dozen red roses for Mother's Day. I clipped the end of the stems and placed them in a vase with this recipe. The first day the roses were opening nicely and looked wonderful. The second and third day 4 of my roses along with the baby's breath and leaves had wilted. I was going to throw them away and decided to wait a day or two and very happy I did. My roses perked back up and were such a pretty red that they looked like they were velvet. I also used tap water and next time will use bottled water. My roses lasted 6 days which is pretty good for me.

  3. I used it with gerbera daisies. One vase had the vinegar recipe the other had plain water. The flowers look the same but the vinegar water looks clearer. I had the change the plain water vase because the water was murky.

  4. Well I'm re-reviewing this. I'm not sure how to rate this. At first the flowers looked wonderful, but they died within the week. Usually my fresh cut long stem flowers last several weeks. :(

  5. I was married on August 12th 2005. On our first month anniversary, my new hubby brought roses home to me and I used this mixture. I have to tell you, they are beautiful. Usually my bought roses die quickly, but these are standing strong!

Most of my recipes are dairy free since I discovered many years ago that I am lactose intolerant. While I have had to give up some much-loved recipes, we have discovered that most can be modified to accommodate the changes to our diet. Most of my recipes say dairy free but there are a few from my childhood that may have dairy! I also have an intolerance to MSG so we spend a lot of time reading labels. Usually, it is just easier to cook from scratch, so we don't use many pre-made foods from the grocery store.</p> I like recipes I can make with minimal ingredients, real food I have in my kitchen, that are also easy to make!
