“I have been making this for years and don't remember exactly where it came from. I love cabbage and bacon so using the two together is just heavenly. I like the cabbage a little closer to crisp than to fully cooked but you can adjust it to your liking.”

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 4 -5 slices bacon, cut across the slice to make small pieces
  • 12 head cabbage, chopped into bite size pieces
  • salt and pepper

Directions

  1. .cook bacon pieces till fully cooked but not crisp. Do not discard bacon grease.
  2. While pan is still very hot add chopped cabbage into the bacon and the drippings. Stir frequently so it dosen't burn. You just want it wilted not over cooked. Salt & pepper to taste. Enjoy!
