ingredients
directions
- Beat eggs in one plate, sift flour in another one, and place breadcrumbs in a third plate.
- Take the square slices of Eidam cheese (they should be 1.5 to 2 cm or 3/4" thick) and put each slice into the flour, then immediately into the egg and then straight into the breadcrumbs.
- Once the cheese is coated, put cooking oil into a skillet and heat it. When the oil is hot and ready, place cheese into it and fry on both sides.
- Make sure that you don't leave the cheese in the oil for too long, as it could leak out of its coating. The frying is very quick.
- Serve with boiled potatoes and tartar sauce.

OK...I'm giving this 4 stars because while it wasn't bad--it was almost too rich to be a "main dish", but didn't hold temperature enough to really be a "side". Anyway, my 2 y/o ate it right up, and while my hubby and I agreed that it was OK, we probably won't be making this exact recipe again--I'd probably try to serve it "over" something??? Note: The only change I made was to use seasoned bread crumbs--because I had them on hand.

I live in Europe and I'm a student of Anglo-American Studies. I love music, movies, quizzes and surveys on the internet, psychology, philosophy, nature and many other wonderful things. I have two kitties and a dog (German Shepherd) and I really adore animals. I'm also a great food enthusiast and I will most likely enjoy whatever you cook for me. I think my fiancé is the best cook, however, as well as my parents obviously haha. My fiancé is American and his cooking is absolutely amazing. As for me, I can cook a few meals but nothing spectacular. :)
