  • This goes very quickly so be sure you have everything cut up and ready to go before starting.
  • Heat saute pan or wok over med. high heat. When hot add the oil, garlic and ginger and saute for 30 sec.
  • Quickly add all the vegetables and saute for 1.5 minute stirring often.
  • Add shrimp and cook to heat shrimp about 1 minute.
  • Add the cooked rice and stir.
  • Add the soy sauce and sesame oil and cook until rice is hot.
  • Serve immediately.

  1. Thought I'd miss my fried egg and cornstarch based sauce, but I didn't. This was good. I'd just encourage you to take care in cooking - this burns quite easily, at least mine did; nothing that couldn't be easily fixed though. Particularly appreciate this recipe because I generally have all the ingredients on hand. It also lends itself to additions of whatever else is fresh, say asparagus.
     
  2. love this recipe. Was looking for something basic (as far as spices etc in lieu of the ready made packet from the store) I do not think you can go wrong with this one:-) I go ahead and add the egg to it, as we all enjoy that little extra.......thanks for sharing greyhound:-)
