  • 12 lb cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans chili, heated
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (12 ounce) package Fritos corn chips, crushed
  • 1 (10 ounce) can cheddar cheese soup

  • Cover bottom of a 13 x 9 pan with a layer of Fritoes, sprinkle with onion, then cheese.
  • Pour heated chili on top of that.
  • Repeat layers, ending with cheese on top of chili (need at least three layers).
  • Bake at 350 until cheese is melted.
  • Omit cheese soup if a drier casserole is preferred.
