Ingredients Nutrition

  • 50 g plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 3 egg whites
  • 600 g mixed seafood, IE Prawns, calamari, and scallops
  • oil

Directions

  1. Sift the flour into a metal bowel and add the salt, mix the olive oil in with a wooden spoon and mix in 250 ml of water. Whisk the egg whites and fold them in gently.
  2. Fill a saucepan 1/3 full and then bring to 170C (340F), if the oil starts to smoke it has been heated to much, a piece of paper cloth should bubble when dipped inches.
  3. Dip the seafood into the batter and deep fry in several batches.
