  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Combine all cookie ingredients in large bowl.
  • Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
  • Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 6 to 8 minutes or until edged are lightly browned.
  • Meanwhile -- combine all glaze ingredients in small bowl; stir until smooth.
  • Frost warm cookies with glaze.
  • Sprinkle with grated lemon peel, if desired.

  2. Flat cookies...decent flavor, but were too flat to do anything with them. I ended up throwing out the dough after baking the first batch.

  4. Great tasting cookies. Mine turned out soft and moist with a strong lemon flavor. I did not use the optional addition of zest in the frosting. I will use the zest the next time. I had a little problem frosting them while warm. Don't if it was the consistency of the frosting or my heavy handness with the knife. Thanks for the recipe.
     
  5. Quite delicious!!! They came out large and flat, not sure that's the way they're supposed to look, but they were fabulous! Used a fresh picked lemon from my tree!
